Now don’t let the question mislead you. I am a full US Citizen in the Texas Army National Guard. I have a college I want to attend to in the city of Vancouver and would like to transfer to attend drills in the Washington National Guard. Would this be possible and how difficult would it be to process everything ? Will I be able to live in Canada while I attend drills in the Washington ARNG?

Yes, you can. I've been living in Canada since 2006 and I have been here since I was a captain. I would suggest you transfer to the Army Reserve because I don't think the National Guard pays for your $500 reimbursement for travel. the Army Reserve does because they validate your temporary home of record and you get a command memorandum that allows you to do a local voucher on your digital Travel Service monthly.. I have been living in Edmonton, Alberta Canada since 2006. Half the time I fly to my unit in Seattle area, I fly to Vancouver.

Yes, I was in the national guard with a Canadian Citizen who went to college in the US but lived in Canada. This was in the 1990s
