Sometimes I read the news and it makes me question why I do what I do. I know I'm not alone in this sentiment, but I have found when those moments occur, I've stumbled across things like this interview with MOH recipient CPL Kyle Carpenter and feel reenergized. Another one I often go to when I'm looking for inspiration is the footage of MSG Roy Benavidez's MOH presentation. Men like CPL Carpenter and MSG Benavidez are my inspiration when things seem difficult, and I don't know what to do. I think far too often we forget that not everything is broken, and that the good is there if we look for it. So enjoy, I hope it inspires someone to greatness today, and if you have something that you find inspiring, I'd be interested in seeing it too.

Without a doubt CSM, sometimes adversity and turmoil are the breeding ground for greatness.

I agree, CW5 (Join to see). I think sometimes we all need a little something to pick us back up, and sometimes after the initial "15 minutes" so to speak, a lot of these great stories of perseverance get forgotten. It was my pleasure to share it with you all.

I'm going to post this one of MSG Roy Benevidez accepting the Medal of Honor, because I believe it's in the same category.
