Can my rank be changed from E-3 to E-4 during basic?

I just graduated college in December but it won't show on my transcript until January 18th. Problem is I ship to basic on the 14th. Can I get a family member to send over my updated transcript so I can get E-4 during basic?

I would like to say however, if your family sends you your transcripts while at Basic, the DS can submit it so you can be promoted to SPC. I've personally seen it at Fort Leonard Wood.

Yes this is another route outside of you doing it yourself via the Army Board of Military Corrections. In my barracks lawyer view and quite possibly the Army view, you graduated before you entered Active Duty or officially enlisted Active Duty (your ship date), the Army owes you the rank in my opinion. File with the ABCMR if the above route via the DS does not work. A knowledgeable DS should be able to fix this as well but not all of them know this can be fixed either sooooo.

No, what is on your contract is what you will receive, and what you are authorized. You would have to go back to MEPS and renegotiate your contract

Ok. I want to push my ship date back then so I can come in as E4. That's possible right?

(Join to see) you change your ship date, you change your class date, which means you might lose your MOS and or bonus.
You will automatically get promoted to E4 sooner or later, this is not the hill you should die on

(Join to see) talk to your recruiter. If your mos is still open for a slot after the 18th and a bonus(if you got one) then then do it but if not then it’s not worth it.

Consider yourself lucky to have been able to enlist as a PFC. You will make E-4 when you make E-4. The key to success in the Army, or life for that matter, is not focusing on your goals but focusing on what you have to do to achieve those goals. That's the difference between dreamers and doers.

Actually, it is the Army's issue to correct this problem and they will correct it if he uses the ABCMR. He enlisted after he graduated college, the Army owes him the rank, it's their rank for college program with no exceptions. If he graduated after he enlisted..........different story but that is not what happened.
