When you took your oath to Protect and Defend Our Constitution, did you know the power of the President comes from our Constitution?

If the President issues an unlawful order like an attack on our Constitutional Government. How can we protect the Constitution against all foes, "if" the President is one of the foes?

PO2 Willis Linn - And what about a rogue Congress?
And if you are using the standards set by the current congress about a rogue President, then like many others have stated every single President under The Constitution. And a reminder that way too many people tend to ignore or forget, The US President is not a creature of, nor does he serve at the pleasure of Congress, but of the People. WE do not have a parliamentary form of government.
A parliamentary system or parliamentary democracy is a system of democratic governance of a state where the executive derives its democratic legitimacy from its ability to command the confidence of the legislature, typically a parliament, and is also held accountable to that parliament.

How about a President that issues orders to kill Americans using drones. Should that order be followed? PO2 Willis Linn

PO2 Willis Linn are you talking about a President that failed to defend our border while supplying arms to Mexican cartels in hope that
he could restrict firearm ownership for US citizens?

"I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God."
Your answer lies in the wording or the enlistment oath and the order of it.
Constitution first. That takes priority over all. Against all enemies foreign and Domestic. Obey all order of the President and Officers... according to regulations and UCMJ.
You are not some rookie straight out of basic training. You should by now know what that means and how it applies to your question. It means you follow LEGAL orders. Those orders that do not conflict with the UCMJ. Being ordered to attack the government falls against the oath and the UCMJ.
Your oath is to defend the Constitution, and only that you will obey the orders of the President so long as they are within the Regulations and UCMJ.

To me if you signed that oath to support a the constitution You signed to defend a republic form of government and no other If you say you believe in a democratic form of government then you either lied or don't know what you are talking about as in a Republic form of government that America is the people vote for repersentives to run the government as they desire giving every one a voice where in a democratic form of government the democrats want it is the majority rules giving the others no choice.
