To what units can an 88M be assigned at JBLM? What is the day to day like?

You can be stationed at any unit on JBLM. You are a Soldier first and an 88M second at any unit in the Army, so you will do Soldier MOS-immaterial tasks and fill MOS-Immaterial positions like gate guard, AHA Guard, training room NCO, Reception Cadre, or whatever other tasking your unit has been assigned to fill.

You could go almost anywhere. There is a Sustainment Brigade or you could go to either of the FSC's in 2ID. It just depends on the manpower. Oh by the way, almost any unit you go to as an 88M will involve non related 88M tasks. Thats just the way the cookie crumbles. If you want to be a true driver and MOSTLY do your 88M job, the only place ive seen that in 24 yrs as a Transporter was in Germany. It is what it is, make the most of it. Youll be just fine JBLM is a nice assignment. Good luck to you
