Was wondering how long does weapon card last for and what is the regulation for it? My most recent M4 card is 20190410 reason why I ask is because my unit is trying to send me out in 4 days when I need to finish clearing the installation and I’m PCSing in 6 days

Weapons cards lasts as long as the officer who signed it stays in command. Once they do a change of command, new weapons cards need to be made.

Come on now, if you are looking at stripes you should know that the its TC 3-22.9 (easiest one to remember, .22 pea shooter and a 9mm round how i think of it) anywho.. in said pub, under appendix F "Soldiers must fire the record fire course at least once a year for qualification (active component Soldiers must fire this course twice a year for qualification with the primary day sight and one a year
with secondary sight, if so equipped.)"
For points, the qual is good for 2 years is what people get it twisted about.
Now on to the issue.. Your unit is being ridiculous. However, if you are currently 6 days from PCS, and the range is in 4 days. You should easily have cleared CIF and turned in plates, etc? Which could be an argue point on not going. Also, last point, if you ahve already cleared medical, most units wont even let people do PT after clearing medical cause its a pain and tons of paperwork if there is some injury during that time.
I feel like you should easily be done with the clearing above at 2 days out of moving and can easily argue these points.
Who in your unit is trying to send you to the range?
