What can I expect at 91H AIT? What is the day-to-day life like after AIT is over?

I went through Aberdeen Proving Grounds/ Edgewood back in summer of 08. Expect boredom, enjoy the 5 mile runs through the CS gas fields. Overall, youll do PT, breakfast, go to school until about 1600, chow then whatever your platoon sergeant has planned. There werent any round browns around then, im not sure about now. For the most part after the duty day youll be left alone. Make sure you alway have a battle buddy with you outside of the barracks and bays are clean. You may have up to 4 men in a bay. I remember it as a bit more relaxed than BCT. Pass your classes, PT and maintain military bearing and youll be fine.

Day-to-day is sustaining & maintaining tracked vehicles, doing field training & deployments. As well as additional duties designated.

Similar to basic in the beginning of the day; wakeup, clean barricks, get dressed, chow. Then, you'll do maintenance class or field tng.
You'll have a little more freedom than basic.
Most of the the focus is to make you a combat ready Ordnance Soldier that will maintain track vehicles!

Thank you SFC. Do you know if AIT is the same if you are coming back in as prior service or is there a little more leeway with privileges?

You'll be known as "prior SVC" & won't have as many extra duties as those going through AIT for the 1st time. You may even be living separately, away from the other Pvt's.
It's been 22yrs since I did AIT or reclassed, so I'm sure it's a bit different now! Lol
