I am transferring to the air guard and I am reclassing. I'm just wondering if anyone has had an experience with this. How were you treated or what was expected of you? Do you stay with the other airmen?

I did six years active in the Navy before joining the air national guard.
You will just go to school. You will be in your own room. They don’t want your prior service to taint the new pipeline students. They will even discourage you from studying with other pipeline students. And if you do study with them be very careful. We had a prior service student that was kicked out of school because he did not follow the rules.

SPC (Join to see) Are you going Security Forces or a new AFSC? Are you adding years with a new contract?

I will be switching to cyber surety. I'm not sure if I will add more to my years. If anything I will do the minimum and go from there.

SPC (Join to see) you will not have to march w/ the new trainees. It is, basically, like going to college. You will be refrained from 'cavorting' with the new trainees outside of study. You will, most likely, live in a separate dorm/hotel room.

Ok I'm less worried about everything. I didn't want to mix with any of the other trainees. Thank you.
