I think it could be a little more user friendly - give our service members more information without requiring them to provide personal information or emails.
Another tool that could prove useful is for our service members to understand the amortization calculator and how to best make use of their down payment. I've included a link to a free online calculator. Additionally, I think its wise to share that taxes and insurance must be considered when purchasing a home - that could be a significant cost depending on where the home is (flood zone/tax rates), these can dramatically increase the cost of home ownership.

CSM Michael J. Uhlig thanks for the feedback, that is really helpful! We really value our members' opinions and insights as they help us to shape the RallyPoint community to be the strongest and most supportive that it can be. Thank you for sharing the free online calculator as well. That is a great resource for our members.

My husband and I, both prior service AD, joined NG, now I'm out, he's E7 in Louisiana NG. He used his COE for VA home loan. After 4 yrs we sold our home while it was part of our relocation plan! Everything to do with the purchase and sale was in good standing, loan was paid in full everything good to go! Now we are preparing to purchase a new home and his and my COE STATE 36,000??? Can you tell me why that may be?
