I separated in 2005 from active duty so I am currently using the original Post 9/11 GI Bill (100% eligible) with the 15 year cap, which is May 31, 2020. I am currently in a Bachelor's Program for Electrical Engineering and still have approximately 35 credits to go. My original 36 months of Post 9/11 GI Bill Benefits will be exhausted mid-Spring 2020 semester, so the additional 9 months through the STEM scholarship would be extremely beneficial in my situation. My question is though...since I am not under the Forever GI Bill...and my cap is occurring May 31, 2020...am I still able to receive the STEM scholarship? I have already submitted my application for the STEM program on August 1, 2019.
