The ATRRS course catalog and the DA Pam 611-21 have the requirements for the MOS's. Being NG there has to be a slot for you to go into as well.

Thanks, SFC. I know 31B has slots, 35M is a little tighter, but that would be my preference. I still have some time, my unit refuses to let me reclass until my contract is up. They wouldn't even let me fill out a request. So in 24 months, when I re-up I am going reclass or transition to Air Force Reserves.

Yes, ATRRS. What do you want to know on 31B?

SSG (Join to see) Can’t help with 35M but 31B reclass is made up of 2, 2-week phases taught primarily at Guard and Reserve schoolhouses under the One Army School System. Four weeks away total as opposed to 9+. If you end up at the active duty course, you’ll be at Ft. Leonardwood, MO.(the longer course). If you go to a Guard or Reserve school, those are taught at schoolhouses all over the country and PR. Try to go to phase 1&2 back to back. I’m partial to the CT schoolhouse as I retired out of there and helped start it from scratch, but the Guard has plenty of good schoolhouses around the country.

Thanks, SSG. I tried talking to my unit about it, they told me very bluntly that I wasn't reclassing and to get back to work. I am NG and all I have is my Unit full timers to assist me. They told me when it is time to re-up they will talk to me about it, but even then it "may never be an option"
