I was chosen/volunteered to become a Recruiter. How do I prepare for Recruiter school?

Yet another installment of Jeff's "succeed at school" log
1) The Army Recruiting School is designed for you to pass, most people I observed to have trouble did one of two things: tried too hard and overthought everything aka put too much pressure on themselves, or they didn't try at all and just shammed. It is not hard!
2) Be proficient in searching PDFs, yes plural. You will have multiple PDFs open at a time and need to search for your answers to determine if a potential recruit is eligible to join the Army, this is the biggest killer of the course, the Basic Entrance Exam. Searching a PDF is all about the right keyword. Typing a sentence doesn't work because Regs and FMs are written by bureaucratic robots, so picking the right word to search for can make or break you - hint paragraph titles and chapters are good to know.
3) Your interview and phone call are just a guided conversation, that's all. You are given the shell of how it goes, and you get to fill it in based on your own experience and way you communicate (do not talk like you're from the streets - speak normal English), but there is freedom in how you do it. If you get a little out of order, don't worry just go back and get what you missed, it's fine.
4) Ft Knox sucks and Recruiting school is the opposite of physical and only 3 days of PT a week. It is essentially a party school. Have fun, but remember you are there to pass and your assignment is dependent on it. School comes first, then fun, and remember everyone is a Soldier first, don't do anything stupid!

Assignments: Do not be afraid to call USAREC G1 before you report to Recruiting school and ask for a specific Battalion or Company or even Station. If you get to school and you are told you are getting a place you really don't want, try to find someone to swap with you before just asking for a change. If it comes to a straight up request, be able to justify your desire with reasons why, not just "because Camden sucks". The better you can explain and use details the better chance you have.
