Non-rated time awaiting WOCS, and not holding a slot in TDA (hold/student status)

Non-rated time awaiting WOCS. Long story shorty, I'm on 'hold status' at Green Platoon. I was DA Select for the unit as I was submitting Warrant Officer packet. PCSed to FT. Campbell in August 2013, last NCOER was June 2013. Class started same day as selection board, and I got picked up. So until I leave for Ft. Rucker in March, I don't hold a slot in any unit. All this is non-rated time. According to regs, this period will be covered in my first OER. That makes sense, IF I were in a rated position here, in hold platoon, which I'm not. As one of the only individuals in the reassignment side of formation here for a positive reason, they (the cadre) have entrusted me with a handful of responsibilities and duties well beyond 'student status'. All that being said, when I go to WOCS, I need a memorandum stating why I had non-rated time, as their (WOCS staff) SOP seems to apply to soldiers who are in active slots actually getting rated. I'm trying to figure out what should go on that memorandum, aside from "not on unit TDA, student/hold status, etc. I'm also trying to figure out how it should be worded. Should it be just a description of the productive work they had me do while I waited here? Should the verbiage and format be similar to NCOER bullet? It's one thing to lose a rater or be tdy enroute from another school and have a little gap in time, but by the time I get there it'll be almost 8 months, 10 from the last NCOER of flat out non-rated time. I would like to show that I wasn't just sitting around with my thumb jammed and that I actually performed some sort of duties. Lord knows these people have got my hands full. Especially if this time is going to have to be merged with my first OER. Thanks in advance gentlemen!
