How hard is it for an officer in Ordnance BOLC to go EOD?

When I went to BOLC in 2017 only option for EOD was to be pre selected before attending BOLC, that was for West Point and ROTC. The only OCS options was if you were already a tech. Basically no interview or selection process once you are at BOLC. But because of Manning it could of changed.

Depends on your commissioning source. I went OCS and it's an interview process within your company. Usually get one two spots per class.

ROTC I believe it's the same process button a national OML Scale.

West Point no idea.

EOD is very hard and will test your mental capacity. Officers and Enlisted go through the same school together. The failure rate is high, some say as high as 60 to 75%. But it is worth it and probably the best carrier field in the Army. Just work hard, study hard and have a little luck. You will get through it.
