In CONUS you only have to fulfill 18 months on station before you can opt to PCS, but only to an overseas assignment or something like recruiting or drill. If you are OCONUS, how much time do you need to complete to be able to PCS?
I'm on a 3 year tour, however in my last assignment i was also on a 3 year tour, but PCSd at 18 months, is it the same for overseas assignments?

Actually you have to fulfill 36 months TOS to PCS, if you request it through reenlistment it's 24 months. That's not to request PCS that's measured from the date of arrival to the report date of the next assignment. Obviously there are many exceptions such as MACP, EFMP, Drill, Recruiting etc that can be waived down to 12 months TOS.
If you're OCONUS you have to stay till your DEROS or else apply for a curtailment. You'll receive your next assignment NLT 6 months from your DEROS.

You can request a waiver for curtailment through your command. You need to have a good reason because it goes through several layers of command.
