NATIONAL GUARD AVIATION AVIATORS! My flight packet is complete to include LOR's. With that, besides understanding the states mission what would you recommend I know/study before the board? It is for the FL NG. Thanks!

From my experience (MN), the Aviator selection board is about getting to know you as a soldier and a person. During mine, I was not asked any technicalities. The questions involved my commitment to the Army and the job, how I’m going to deal with AFTPs (flying during the week), what my plans are for the future, my civilian career, etc. They want to see how well you will fit in, if you are committed to the state/job, and if you are dedicated to keep up with the rigorous hours you need to remain current. Good luck!

Awesome! That's what I'm hoping for. I'm born and raised in FL. After a Korea PCS, JBLM, and a deployment it's time to go home and build some roots. I have zero plans on leaving, so I'm hoping that enduring factor helps with selecting. Thanks for the response.
