I have my 25th class reunion next week and I would like to wear something denoting my military (Navy) service. I will be wearing a t-shirt, otherwise I'd wear a lapel pin. Also, Ibdon't wear hats. Any suggestions?

Since you are wearing a T-shirt, why not make it one with a simple U.S. Navy printed across the back, or even better, in small letters on the left breast similiar to where you would have your ribbons? It would serve as a conversation starter with those classmates who are interested, or looking for a topic to discuss with you, but by keeping it simple and subdued, you don't look like a mobile billboard.

Thanks for the reply! I love your ideas, but we are all wearing matching reunion shirts. We have a parade, then the homecoming football game, then a get together at a pavilion. So it looks like we will probably be wearing those t-shirts all night. I guess it's not a big deal. Most of them already know I went into the Navy anyway.

I myself don't bother...but my class had many enlisted and a field grade officer. but I have friends who wear the full enlisted Veteran regalia. Normally a service ring and lapel pin if formal. The reunions I've been to consist of how old, fat or bald everyone is and how great a few genetically gifted a few are. And in reality no one really cares if you served or not unless your single or another Navy Veteran spies you....now at the 30 to 40+ year mark you have the divorcees on the prowl for retired Vets. Normally t shits are worn for an event before or after the reunion ..but no SEAL team 6 or skull crossed m-16 rifles Vet ones... Now remember if you peacock... your F-18 pilot or SEAL classmates might be in attendance.

Haha, I'm just an old 2nd class Boatswain Mate. The best I'd have is an ESWS pin! And I do happen to be divorced and single. As far as I know there are only three of us out of my class to join the military. So we'll see what happens! Thanks for the reply!
