Can my chain of command prevent me from taking the BESP class to retake ASVAB. To my understanding it can only be prevented unless it conflicts with training schedule.

You need your chain of command approval in order to take bsep. So, yes they can stop you by not approving it. I've never seen a company commander refuse to allow someone to go to BSEP without a valid reason.

Something smells here dude. I have never seen any Cdr refuse any schooling that would help improve an SM unless it was because of upcoming training/deployment or the SM was a loser to the unit.

Yeah that's wat I thought, from wat I was told it can't be refused as long as it doesn't conflict with training schedules
