SFC (Join to see) has obtained an Honerable Discharge from a Soldier who was discharged shortly after WWI. The person from whom he received this discharge wants to research and hopefully find out the battle history of his unit.

The unit at the time was known as A Battery, 62nd Artillery CAC, which served in France from 1918 to 1919. A google search points to a unit supposedly at Ft. Hood, TX known as 1-62nd ADA, however the Ft. Hood Directory does not list that unit at Ft. Hood, TX.

Is there any webistes or individuals that can help David either find the history or lineage of this unit or point us in the direction of someone who can or an organization that researches unit lineage and history?

Thanks, COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

COL Mikel J. Burroughs, perhaps Together We Served? It's mostly for individuals, but there are unit histories also.
