We are PCSing soon. We are putting our home goods in storage and moving in with my in-laws to save some money.

Yes, a mover who is contrated with the Military to move you should pick up household good from a storage unit. Make sure that transportation understands your request proir to having your household good packed and moved.

Yes, you need to contact transportation and then the movers to provide the address of the storage facility

My advice is to visit your Transportation Office and discuss this with the Household Goods Section. You did not state whether is in conjunction with a PCS movement or not. That could make difference. I advise you to visit your Transportation Office before making the decision.

I put ours in storage when we PCS'd to Germany in 1979 and they stayed there until we returned to CONUS in 1986 when I retired. They did pick them up and move them to our stateside residence. Like I said in my previous post check with Transportation for the current guidance.
