Has anyone been awarded the Royal Danish Marksmanship Badge and worn it on their ASU's?
I was recently awarded the Royal Danish Marksmanship Badge (Bronze) with a certificate. My certificate has been submitted to my S1 to be added to my OMPF. The Danish Badge is listed in Appendix D of AR 600-8-22 as approved and authorized for wear.
I have searched the internet, AR 600-8-22 and AR/DA Pam 670-1 to find a picture and guidance on its wear. I am looking for an example of its wear on the ASU and any personal examples of the Badge.

Now I'm curious, where did you qualify for it?

DA PAM 670-1, p. 275: 22–18. Foreign badges
a.
Males wear a foreign badge centered and 1/8 inch above the right pocket flap, or 1/2 inch above any unit awards
that are worn (see fig 22–86). Females wear the badge centered and 1/2 inch above the nameplate, or 1/2 inch above
any unit awards that are worn (see fig 22–87). In those instances where the service or dress coat lapel obscures the
badge, personnel may wear the badges aligned with the right edge of unit awards or the nameplate. Personnel may not
wear a foreign badge unless at least one U.S. medal or service ribbon is worn at the same time. Foreign badges are not
authorized for wear on mess or utility uniforms. Personnel may not wear foreign badges that are awarded only as cloth
badges. Personnel may not wear foreign badges that cannot be worn properly because of size or configuration

The DANCOM unit operating in Kabul setup and conducted the ranges. It was mostly an opportunity for the officers to qualify for the Badge. The Royal Danish Marksmanship Badge is one of the few marksmanship badges that officers are "allowed" to wear (according to Appendix D of AR 600-8-22).
I was one of the few enlisted Soldiers to receive the opportunity.

SGM Mikel Dawson
SPC (P) Andrew Albrecht,
Congrats on that. But you are authorized to wear on your dress uniform, not utility uniform. We don't wear ours on utility uniforms.

SGM. Respectfully, the title "Royal Danish Marksmanship Badge; Guidance on wearing on the ASU?" The soldier stated specifically that the badge was for wear on his ASU, not the utility uniform. SPC Albrecht: The information you are looking for is stated above in my earlier post. You are authorized to wear the Royal Danish Marksmanship badge as covered by AR 600-8-22 and placement is the same as any other "foreign badge" which is covered in AR 670-1 as stated by SGM Dawson above.

WOW, while researching the Danish marksmanship badge, I found the DANCON March medal is now authorized to wear as per AR 600-8-22, Date, 24 June, 2013. I got two of them! Guess I might look at getting them added to my DD-214

Pic of me during the march. A pic of a Danish soldier I met at the start and we completed the march together. Also a pic of where we stayed the night before.

Keep a eye on the HRC website about being able to wear it.
https://www.hrc.army.mil/site/Active/TAGD/awards/Foreign_Badges_Appendix/Appendix_E.pdf
In accordance with Title 5 United States Code, Section 7342, DoD M1348.33-Vol 3, Manual of Military Decorations and Awards and AR 600-8-22, Military Awards, Chapter 9, those awards from foreign governments may be accepted and worn only if in recognition of active combat service or for outstanding or unusually meritorious performance. Activities normally undertaken by the U.S. Armed Forces in support of an ally during peacetime are not considered sufficient to merit foreign individual or unit decorations.
This change does not apply to awards that appear in AR 600-8-22, Chapter 9, but does affect Appendices D and E. All new requests for wear of decorations and badges received after 1 June 2014 will be processed in accordance with Chapter 9 of AR 600-8-22.
All Soldiers previously issued an acceptance and wear memorandum may continue to wear in accordance with the memorandum issued by the United States Human Resources Command and the first general officer in their command.

SGM Mikel Dawson
SPC (P) Andrew Albrecht , You might want to check out the links I provided. You are authorized to wear, but not on utility uniform. So you can wear on your dress uniform

SGM Mikel Dawson, new guidance on the HRC website (01 June 2014) appears to amend AR 600-8-22. As I understand it, only foreign awards for "recognition of active combat service or for outstanding or unusually meritorious performance" are currently authorized for wear.

The above guidance in AR 600-8-22 chapter 9 is in reference to foreign awards and unit decorations earned in combat and has been taken out of context. That is in reference to such awards as the NATO medal or any countries campaign medal. The award you are talking about is a marksmanship badge and falls under chapter 9-26 as a foreign badge, not a foreign decoration or unit decoration. These people are steering you in the wrong direction and your eating it up.
"9–26. Foreign badges
a. Eligibility requirements. Qualification and special skill badges may be accepted if awarded in recognition of
meeting the criteria, as established by the foreign government concerned, for the specific award. Only those badges that
are awarded in recognition of military activities and by the military department of the host country are authorized for
acceptance and permanent wear. Badges that do not meet these criteria may be authorized for acceptance but not for
wear, and will not be entered in the official military records of the recipient. Of particular importance are the criteria
established by the military department of the host country; for example, if a particular badge is authorized for award
only to enlisted personnel of host country then the badge may be accepted and worn by U.S. Army enlisted personnel."

As for the placement of the Danish Marksmanship badge;
The award goes below your unit of affiliation crest, 1/2 inch above unit awards, centered. the award can be justified to the right (if covered by lapel) to the edge of your name-plate. Your unit of affiliation crest is 1/8 inch above the foreign badge and can be justified to the right if covered by lapel.
AR670-1 29-19 pg 312 states: Males wear a foreign badge 1⁄8 inch above the right pocket flap, or 1⁄2 inch above any unit awards that are worn
(see fig 29–84). again, this is a foreign badge not an award. There are specific regulations governing such things. The above NCO E-5 type should research before speaking. That is all.
