Does anybody have a general idea of what to pack for Army Recruiter School, or a generic packing list?

I’m going away for Army Recruiter School I’m two weeks. I just received my welcome and information letters, but both said there is no specific packing list , and to pack accordingly. I know I have to bring my ASUs, and OCPs, but what else should I pack?

I just graduated from the ARC in May. You will need a pair of Khakis and a few collard shirts as Friday’s are casual days. OCPs and PTs. You will do PT MWF. You will live in 2 man suites. Shared kitchen and bathroom solo room. Linens will be provided already in the room by the departing class. Internet is purchased and then refunded with your travel voucher. Laundry is free but you have to provide detergent. Class is generally out by 1700 and you are on your own from there. If you have any other questions shoot me a message

SFC Michael D. I think we lost like 10 soldiers through the course. Mostly due to apft or height weight non compliance

SGT (Join to see) - You'd figure that their Command would have made sure they can pass the PT Test and weight prior to sending them. I think I took three PT tests prior to going to Drill Sergeant school. The Command said that they didn't want to be embarrassed.

SFC Michael D. most of the guys were DA Select and just came down on orders. We had less volunteer recruiters that most classes before ours

When I was down at Knox for SLC, I saw a bunch of Recruiting students and most of what they had with them were...of course their uniforms....and civilian clothes. I would also recommend bringing linen and pillow. Depending on the barracks you get assigned to, you may or may not be able to draw linen. Also, bring some wet weather gear, just in case.

Thats really it man. Bring all of your uniforms and some civilian clothes. 1 set of business casual. You will use zero gear at recruiting school. 100 percent of the time you'll be in the classroom.

Nice. Made my life way easier. Less I have to worry about now. Now I just have to do the prerequisites and gather all the papers work they’re asking for. SSG Clint Underhill
