I never received my DA form 1059 for active after graduating WLC at Fort Drum NY in 2010. I was ETS'ing in a few months and was told my unit would receive a copy but I forgot to follow up due to ETsing so soon. I enlisted in the reserves recently and my unit is requesting my 1059 for promotion. I have contacted the school house and they only have records from 2018 and iperms and HRC don't have copies either. My dd214 and ATTRS both show my graduated status. Do I really need to reattend WLC/BLC for a copy of a 1059, or is there another way?

No you don't have to reattend. Look up the Fort Drum NY NCOA and start contacting everyone related to BLC, starting with the registrar and ending with the Commandant. I have personally assisted in remedying this and it just requires new signatures after they find proof of your graduation. Not to say that going through the newly designed course wouldn't be beneficial-it's legit. Hit me up again if you run into major road blocks.

Hello CSM Olsen, I have been trying to get a new 1059 and I'm am getting nowhere. My squad leader has contacted numerous schoolhouses as have I, and all I keep getting is we don't hold record that long. Could I get your assistance with this issue? Thank you.

SGT (Join to see) On Monday, Call 1SG Chris Hurd the current deputy of the Fort Drum NCOA. Tell him I told you to call.

This is another one of those times when your rank might get in the way of your resolution. Do everything that CSM Eric Olsen recommends, and let this group know if you run into any roadblocks that might require some rank to break down. A CSM’s request just seems to get answered quicker than a Specialist’s, in my experience ;)

DD214 isn't acceptable? Interesting. Nothing went on my DD214 unless I had orders or other documentation.
