Lies or misleading?

There is a post on here asking if officers lie more than others, a lot responded that they do not lie, which is good, but senario......You are taking your troops on what you know to be a suicide mission, do you tell them that and risk that the stress might endanger the mission, or do you tell them it's a dangerous mission, but if they follow their training and orders everything "should" be just fine?
