I want to get my Diving Badge but I'm not sure if I have to re class or anything.

There are several dive schools. Combat dive is a school that falls under special operations. You'd have to be on a Dive team to be eligible to go. Engineer diver is part of the 12D course. There are a handful of places in the Army where they need divers and will send anyone. When I worked at Florida phase Ranger School, we had slots for divers and would send anyone who could pass pre scuba.
Short answer - you probably won't go unless you become a 12D or join an SF dive team.

SGT Dave Tracy more like, there's opportunity for everyone as long as the Army gets its value out of the deal. Just like Airborne is now, you can't go just because you want, or because the badge looks cool. If you go, it's because you're going to an Airborne assignment and the Army is getting three years of jump status from you.

SFC (Join to see) - For me, I never got Airborne in my contract, and could never get a slot ex post facto. When I was AD, I had a buddy who was the schools NCOIC, and he said as much; that we were a mech unit, so no dice home slice. Some slots became available near the end of my time in the Reserves for Airborne and Air Assault, and we sent 2, but by then, I had one foot out the door. That's just how it goes.

SGT Dave Tracy - That sounds about right for the Reserves. When I was a newly commissioned LT in the Reserves, I put in for Airborne and Rigger because I was holding a slot that required both. The Reserves in all its wisdom gave me rigger school but refused to give me airborne, which is the prerequisite course to rigger. After lots of begging, pleading, and horse trading, I ended up with neither school and now I am to old and broken to complete either if the opportunity presented itself.

Army schools are based on need, as others have stated, not to provide the opportunity to collect badges.

MOS 0326 - Reconnaissance Man or if you just want the bubble without the chute Reconnaissance Man, Combatant Diver Qualified, 0324. However from my understanding candidates for this MOS must first hold MOS 0321, Reconnaissance Marine and they must complete the Basic Airborne Course at USAIS at Ft. Benning in Georgia (0324?) and for the bubble badge they must complete the MCCDC-approved Combatant Diver qualification course (0325?) I think in Panama City, FL.
