I have a question regarding the prior service enlistment process. I recently just ETS from the Army Reserve in June with an (Honorable Discharge)/ Active Clearance with my Orders stating that I was was held longer than my ETS Date.

The enlistment of all civilians is based on the needs of the Army. You are prior service who was trained and chose to separate. As long as there is a pool of untapped talent they will always go there first. Don’t give up, the available pool cones and goes with those who are otherwise qualified. Your chance will come, it is simply not automatic because you had a decent service record. Thank you for your service.

The only way to get the correct answer is to talk to your recruiter. Have him/her to find out what the issue is. If your last DD214 has honorable that’s what should be utilized. So you’ll need to have your recruiter to find out why they are not utilizing your last 214. Good luck to you...

yes SFC, the recruiting battalion and their commander thought the same and pushed everything through, until the day of swearing in I ran into this issue friday, in which I have documentation of everything from my peer evaluations from basic i kept everything.

So were you separated for the UNSAT? If so, how did you rejoin? Did you get a waiver?

SGT (Join to see) You’re going to need to provide all that documentation to your recruiter. The way it’s looking is you’re potentially going to need an RE Code waiver being that you did receive an UNSAT discharge.

I submitted everything and finished this during my prior service pre-screen. The day of swearing in they called and told me that I needed to write a statement, MEPSCOM said that I did not need a waiver they needed a statement a hour before I went to the hotel to check-in for the process.

SGT (Join to see) MEPCOM has nothing to do with you swearing in. By that I mean qualifications to join.
