I went to the recruiter about enlisting in the reserves after a 3 year break in service (I ETS'd in April of 16) and found out that I have to complete basic training again. I verified the information I was given in AR 601-210 as the recruiter wasn't 100% sure. I looked on here to see if anyone had any insight on going back to BCT as an NCO, but the last post was from 2018 by a PFC. Do any NCO's on here have any insight on this matter? Will I be going to BCT with IET Soldiers? Will I still wear SSG on my chest and my deployment patch on my sleeve or will I have to go through looking like a day one PVT? What will the training consist of?

Well based on what SGT (Join to see) mentioned you would wear rank, and i know on graduation day you wear awards. But have personal experience in the matter.
However good luck with the situation and getting back brother! As "stupid" as it would be being back at basic, and as a SSG nonetheless, it'll be over before you know it and be worth it if you're set on coming back.

You’ll still be able to wear what you have earned, but understand they are going to treat you the same as the new recruits but you won’t be able to earn any honor status because of your prior service history. Good luck to you....

I do not know if you’ll be able to wear your deployment patch. I wasn’t able to wear anything when I was pushed through. It’s 10 weeks (including reception). Red phase is basic marching, confidence tower and understanding the rank structure. White phase is all ranges. US weapons have been removed from the POI. You only use the M16 or M4. Blue phase is confidence course, grenade toss and graduation practice.
