ISIS is now burning children alive. When are we going in?

Yes, why don't we just throw money and soldiers at the problem just like the last 3000 years of unrest and tension in the Middle East (sarcasm). Maybe I've become cynical but I'm tired of supporting American intervention and seeing nothing change except our gross national debt.
You can't give people stability and order, they have to want it for themselves. To be frank I think that these burnings and beheadings are doing wonders for the region. When the pilot was killed nearly every Muslim country and Imam came out against it and for a second I saw solidarity in the region against a common foe.
Let the situation escalate and someone over there will deal with the problem and improve themselves for accomplishing a great feat without our help.

Western Intervention won't stop that. Politicians live by short term solutions and that's what that would be. This is a perfect situation for the Mid East to fix it themselves. They hate ISIS more than we do.
It's hard to sit back and do nothing, but it will be better in the long run.

I'm going to add to what 1LT (Join to see) said. No, I don't think we need to sit back and do nothing, but us going in there is not going to be a long term solution. I feel we need to support the governments that are willing to fight ISIS/ISIL with equipment and training.
I would love to see every member of ISIS/ISIL burn, but will have much more effect on their recruiting if it is other Muslims doing the work, and not us. I think once they see this is not how the majority view the religion, maybe fewer will join them. Of course there is also that "gang/bully/thug" mentality...they feel they can just get away with violence because they are "stronger" and of course the stronger take what they want from the weak...

I've never been combat arms but these guys tempt me to try to become fit enough to do special forces.

SSG (Join to see) ISIS isn't the only organization doing evil deed to children or human beings alive. When are we going to save the rest of the world? Or we are only going to save the part of the world the media wants us to save?

I agree Boko haram is a major issue. My understanding is that the African nations are trying to contain it. But Isis is aiming for us, Boko isn't.
