Does the 39 years old SGT (P) still can apply for OCS with age waiver?

I was 39 when commissioned. I had six years service prior to commissioning. If the age standards are the same you should be good to go with a waiver. Good luck.

Age waiver should be a normal part of your application with regard to your years of enlisted active duty. I also remember reading, many years ago, if one commissioned on active duty with no break in service between enlisted service and commissioning, one could retire at 20-years total active duty without meeting the mandated 10-years commissioned service retirement requirement. Just food for thought.

I commissioned at 40-years old, with age waiver for my enlisted active duty time.

September the new MILPER should come out in regards to OCS. However according to recent years requirements, you can apply for an age waiver. Talk with your PL, Company commander and let them know your intention. It will be vital to have their support as well as your battalion commander.
