In my day you checked the Army Times. When I made the seven list, I looked and they were promoting about thirty a month. I went ahead an had my stripes sewn on. I went to Drill Derseant school knowing that I'd get it pinned on there. The list froze that month. As soon as I went and had the E6 stripes sewn back on, Senior Drill Sergeant from the school was calling my name. "POST" read the orders, pinned on my stripes and told me "Drop and give me 25, I don't want you to forget where you came from." There I was, back at the tailor shop. Lady probably thought that I was some kind of decipline problem getting stripes taken off then put back on. Anyway, it, will come. I'd just moves at it's own pace. Congrats to you when you pin it on.

Used to be that way but now sequence numbers are super secret info. They publish the promotions but not sequence number they are actually on.
