im on orders to vilsek germany im going to b troop support squadron, im just looking for some info on the place and the unit?

Bring your long underwear. It is a nice post, but it is away from the larger cities; however, you can get to most places by train. I am not familiar with the unit as I have been out a long time.

Loved the unit. This unit does a lot of field rotations and throughout all of Europe. Small post, training area right outside the back gate. Grafenwoehr is where the main PX is located, which they have a bus that shuttles soldiers there and back. Major cities nearby are Nuremberg and Regensberg. It’s a nice centralized location, considering that Prague, Munich and other major cities are not to far from there. The Support Squadron supports all of the other squadron as well as the regiment. Overall make the most of it. If you enjoy you job and like to put it to practical use, then this is the place to be. Also enjoy Europe. You can catch a train almost anywhere for fairly cheap, and Ryan air also does cheap flights. Also, being in Germany, you get a 4-day weekend almost every month.
