I have a few questions regarding OCS

I’m currently on assignment to Korea in January. I have 3 more classes and my bachelors degree will be complete. I will be complete by December. Will I have to stay in Korea a year before I drop an OCS packet?

What is the age limit for OCS? I’m currently 31 and will be 32 in September.

I currently have a 107GT score and I know I need a 110. The reason I’m asking about spending a year in Korea is due to me not being able to commit to GT improvement class due to frequent travel.

There are a number of online study guides of the ASVAB and it you have completed a 4 year degree, that alone should give you enough of an advantage to score over 110. Looking at other post, you are going to bump up against that 10 year rule, which is waiverable. How readily anymore I don't know since I've been out of that officer loop for a long time. The other thing you will bump into is that it requires 10 years of service as an Officer to collect that retirement. If you end up as 11/12 years enlisted and 8 as an officer, your will retire at your top three enlisted years at the base for your pay. Rank through Captain isn't automatic, but you have to have screwed up in my day not to make O3, which should put you over that 10 mark.
If you made SFC in 10 years, someone thought pretty highly of you. Good luck.

Years ago I got a ASVAB study guide and raised my score from 114 to 126.....I never had math or English above 9th grade...still to this day.....The study guide helped.....since it was multiple choice...I could guess the math and I use...Latin and Greek....roots , prefix's etc to guess words...etc.....it worked for me....but I lost my Temper and was tossed from OCS.

How much time of active federal service do you have?

Edit: You're age is good as of this last MILPER. 34 by the time you commission is what they wanted. I ask about active federal service, because that is what got me kicked back. You can drop your OCS packet while you're in Korea and they will schedule you from there if you get picked up.

My suggestion is to get your classes done and get your packet in ASAP

Also, be looking for the new OCS MILPER to be out around September time frame, hopefully they'll loosen up a bit.
