Are there any "sub careers" within the military police corps?

I was wondering if the military police corps offered any other jobs under the 31B title. Such careers would include things such as a detective occupation, forensic science, protective services, drivers, security, SWAT team, etc. (This question pertains to the Army in particular.)

In short, yes. Military Police Investigations and Traffic Accident Investigations are an additional skill identifier. K9 Handler is a separate MOS now that you can sign up for with your recruiter. Protective Service Details and usually just assignments. SWAT is called SRT (Special Reaction Team) and is just an extra school that you can go to, like Airborne.

There are 31E (corrections) and 31K (K9 handlers). Everything else is an ASI (traffic accident investigation, military police investigator, CID, force protection). I'm sure I'm missing a few, but you get the point. Also, 31E and 31K may have additional ASI's that I'm not familiar with.

Yes, there are different parts of a detachment where you can try to get in, there is Military Police Investogations, Traffic Section, 31K dog handler, SRT (SWAT) and then you could always apply for CID but that’s not 31B.
