100&, but they are not in charge of the funding- sometimes to have to squeeze the pennies. Hell thanks to Carter, we didn't have enough of lots of items in the 82nd, without rotating combat item among the units on deployment ready status.

Pardon me, SGM Bill Frazer for saying so but I don't agree that this is a fiduciary concern of military spending. It may be a budget of time management and socialization. The military is a mobile unit. Provided that all outstanding and capable servicemen lead by good example and reinforcement of good habits with auxiliary parameters up to code.

excuse me? the USAF has several fighter wings that aren't flying because there isn't enough money for parts. Same for the Navy with ships done for the same reason. If a world deployable unit (14-18hrs wheels up) is having problems fixing weapons for deployable units and has to rotate parts among units- Thats money. My career was 82nd, Rangers and XVIII ABC, all deployable within 18 hrs- we trained hard and did our damndest to stay combat ready in spite of Gov't funding. But when there is a limit on training people and ammo, fuel, parts, then you have to curtail something. Time management? Explain that one!

TSgt Joshua Duplin - Concur Brother, that's why the comment from the A1c, confused me- Congress controls the cash, we have to make do with what we get and balance real world vs. training. They commitment is always there, just controlled by cash flow

Our military is committed, but our government controls funding.

I accept that Sgt (Join to see). I have no doubt that logiticians in service can posit beyond the scope of a diminishing bottom line. Benefits of a healthier armed forces are unit cohesion, unit satisfaction, unit adaptation and an increase in the odds of unit retention.

A1C Ian Williams - It sounds like you are saying that the Military is not healthy, so define healthy and what you see as unhealthy about the military?

Sgt (Join to see) Different times and different results. By both mental and physiological factors, those who serve both have the potential of being a paragon of wellness or not. It is in America's best interest to heed the advice of the medical community when they make recommendations. If you exceed baseline levels of human activity, you will receive consequences and rewards. The goal is to maximise the value against weighing the costs. My question to you is it important to keep our servicemen healthy.

Sgt (Join to see) what I do find healthy is the strength of resolve, character, love of country, and harmony of biological functions at an optimal state. What i find unhealthy are the fitness standards and the ways to achieve them. There is an obesity epidemic in America. Once you make that solemn oath, could we not further stipulate that health of mind and body be part of how we best serve our country. I find it interesting that with all these articles that come out, I have yet to see the mindset that it is the individual responsibility to reach the standards and it is leadership's responsibility to implement a comprehensive plan to make it so.
