Can you obtain the same civilian IT certifications of a 25B as a 25U ?

Once you enter into the 25 CMF - the civilian IT certifications become equally available to all of the MOS, the difference is the individual’s drive to attain them and the actual operational environment to put them into use. As a 25B you will work mostly help desk layer 1 issues, while as a 25U you will likely be focused on lower TI equipment like radios. If you want to get into networking, your best route is 25N. All of these MOS can reclass to 25D once you hit the SGT level, and that’ll streamline your military career to a strictly technical security focus.
