I am currently at a USO waiting for my next leg of my trip. I am looking around and seeing the top part of the walls covered with unit patches from all services. They also have a few walls of coins. I see this in most of the USOs. This had we wondering:

Have you ever left a coin or patch at a USO? If so why? If no, why not?

I left a name tape with a dog at a USO in Dallas when I got back from theatre. This guy is always there with his dog and he greets all military folk coming back from theatre

I have not. My military travels are regional, thus my units have always been represented.

Name Tape, unit patch and Coin at the Dallas USO. Why? Just seemed like the thing to do. The walls are covered with name tapes, patches and they have a really cool glass case.

It is pretty neat to fly through there and find your buddies names and their coins, units, patches, etc.
