I work in a J/G1 and all the information I have been given is yes. I am trying to see if anyone has been deployed to Israel and could provide me with more information. I am not being assigned to an embassy, from what I am tracking I will be near the southern tip of Israel. The mission is to maintain radar and provide early warning against TBM Threats.

AR 670-1, Paragraph 19-17, Subsections B14 and B15. You are authorized for Israel if you were deployed there ISO OIF (Mar 2003-August 2010) and OND (Sep 2010-Dec 2011). That's it.

No. Israel is not a qualifying country for a SSI-FWTS unless it was for OIF (2003-2010) and OND (2010-2011).

Only if you indulge in Israeli cuisine. The food there is almost as bad as in Britain.

NOT. Where else can you find Jewish Cuisine that spans the globe; for shame Sgt, for shame. Ok, excuse me, but I grew up in the Mid-Atlantic states where one could find a blend of ethnic Jewish cuisine: Russian Eastern European, Mediterranean, Ethiopian, Asian; all living in or near the Lower East Side of NYC. {Did a year with the MFO '89 to 90}.
