Also, how does it compare to entrepreneurship programs that aren't degree plans?

I got a my Small Business and Entrepreneurship degree from Ashford. While the program may not be too difficult, a year later I bought a 4 unit apartment complex as my first business. Background I got my Bachelors at my 10 year mark. I was an E-6 with deployment bucks saved up. I am a plumber with a lot of engineering experience, and was able to reno two units, then started my house before I came to Korea. I thought it was useful to have a degree as it forced me into a track to take all the applicable classes, such as micro and macro economics, accounting, and so forth. I am not familiar on programs and if you will have to learn those disciplines. Please let me knw if you have any specific questions.

I'm curious what skills from the course plan you found useful and whether you believe the degree was a good way to learn those skills.
The only program I know of as of now is from IVMF:

I think its good in a structured environment with the core course work. I had to take a lot of classes I just talk about now that obviously was not beneficial. How did I benefit now from writing a 5,000 word essay on a film now? I can explain a lot about the movie Fight Club filmography. I think the biggest thing is learning the language which can help point your mind. Currently I am going for a Project Management Masters with Western Carolina University for example. Having the language forced upon me is beneficial for me to talk to other people that are in the Project Management field. The same will go for that business degree. You can socialize and understand a plethora of business terms, definitions, and so forth. Usually, you will make a business plan as the culmination that I thought was good. Things like SWOT analysis can ross over to other things. If you want an easy book, I would recommend The Personal MBA by Josh Kaufman as an easy to get into read that covers the basics of a business degree. As far as programs I am not sure of anything about that. I believe having a degree has potential to help you out in the future and adds to your clout. A program does not have the same credentialing to me.

Thanks. I'll consider that book. I understand doing more courses about something teaches the lingo, but it seems I'll need to ask others with experience in both about how they compare. Sgt James Schmeling, I understand you've moved on but are you able to weigh in on this before I contact IVMF directly?
