Army Announces End to Geographic Bachelors
The Army announced an end to the geographic bachelor program. Soldiers drawing a housing allowance who have dependents can no longer live in barracks.

SFC (Join to see) I believe this article answers most of the questions. The only thing not clear is, is the Solder living off base in community housing. If so, then he should be receiving BAH, but has to pay for housing in his local area.
Good job on the research. Much has changed since my retirement.

Your husband should be receiving BAH with dependent. Hopefully they don’t have him in the barracks because the Army did away with the Geographic Bachelor. You are not active AGR, so he should have been receiving BAH. Someone is giving him the run around...

That is what I figured when he told me that and they said we are considered dual military

You’re not considered dual military because you’re not AGR. Are you listed as your spouse dependent in DEERS? SPC (Join to see)

Yes. Thank you SFC! The people at S1 didn't know much on the topic, so I informed them and they turned the bah papers in.
