My wife is in 68W AIT. She is doing extremely good in her studies but failed her second PT by just one sit-up. Also after two months she would be in next age slab, it means she could easily pass the PT. They said they would give one more chance. If she fails that too, what would typically happen in this scenario? Will they ask her to wait for two months or her separation processes will start?

Basically, one of two things can/would happen: 1) They could give her another test and let her finish the course if she passes; 2) They could begin separation papers. It's basically going to be up to the Commander.

My advice: Tell her to not focus on failing but to focus on passing that test. One sit-up is easy to overcome.
