Also, does anyone know where the selection trends and/or percentages can be found? For some reason, I'm beginning to think selection rates are based off needs of the Army, and time of the year.

They guys over at Vertical Reference have been trying to keep stats. I think there are so many different factors that affect the different boards but needs of the Army is always the number 1 factor.

Yes, we had a prior SFC 12B who was selected with 15 years TIS, it is possible. Especially since Aviation is hurting for pilots.

Thanks for the response. I've heard that Aviation is hurting for pilots. That seems very strange to me, but I am on the outside looking in. As far as I understand, it's one of the best jobs one can have in the Military. To each his/her own though.

SSG (Join to see) I would agree, it is one of the best and most rewarding jobs. It does take a lot of studying and understanding, but with commitment to your field, you will succeed.
