Good evening, I’m posting on behalf of my spouse.... He attended drill over the weekend and he is still looking for answers on his six year reenlistment bonus. He has valid confirmation of a passing APFT score, as well as height & weight, also, he’s never been late nor missed a drill. So, it’s safe to say he’s done everything right. Apparently, we’re just waiting for this system to start up. The only information he gets during drill is that “The system is down, wait X amount of days.” EVERY drill, it’s the same thing. The thing is, we’ve been told to wait X amount of days for months! It’s literally a hurry up and wait type of thing. He loves the Military. He was 19 when he joined and he’s now 26. He still shows the same love toward the Military even today. Also, he’s starting to feel depressed about the bonus situation because he was supposed to receive it months in advance before this system even shut down. He’s made several phones to different departments, he’s talked to higher authority and still.... nothing. With that being said, if anyone has any information at all so I can fill him in on it, that would be wonderful! It’ll make me wife of the year! Thank you.

The Guard Incentive Management System (GIMS) has been down since 25 October due to server issues. The current time frame for GIMS to be restored is now the end of January, however, this time frame is just an estimate and may change as we get closer. The State Incentive Offices cannot look up any issues at this moment. Thus, they are unable to give updates pertaining to the status of any payments, terminations, ETPs, etc. As it stands, per NGB...

Thank you! He got a phone call today saying his bonus has been at NGB for the last two weeks.
