i was 19 in the army. i was in my 8th week, when my ankle got swollen ( broke tibia and fibia when i was 15 and had 3 total screws. 1 in knee 2 in ankle) they thought i had a titanium rod in the leg becuase apparently thats what the recruiter told meps and what i got a waiver for... a WAIVER. but back to the 8 weeks at basic and have a swollen ankle. the doc there told me i have NO waiver they could find and was discharged... i have a RE 3 UnCharacterized on my DD214 and im trying to get back into the NAVY. i just applied with a recruiter and soon hell be sending it up to a meps doc. what should i expect?
i think ill have time to learn to swim. i can swim in panic to one side to another etc. i just cant float but never really put in the effort to learn. and time to get back into shape.
anything helps?

Lazer Cassidy No one can provide you with odds of a waiver. Learn how to swim and get in shape.

You may have to face the fact that your injury cannot stand the strain of basic training, which means they will not stand up during intense drill/training periods. I do encourage you to try, just don’t put all of your eggs in one basket. Look into other opportunities while you await the services decision. Naval basic is not all about water. They to have physically demanding tasks. Good luck.

well i was in my 8th week in the army. and i work 7 14's in a oil field for the last few years. it was swollen cause i fell in a ditch while marching which im sure even the most normal person would probably receive the same injury. what im hoping for is the release papers says ANYTHING about a titanium rod. i dont have one so how can i be discharged for it?
