I'm just curious if there is anyone out there that is prior service with a PTSD rating that has gone back into the military?

Note that a rating of 0% would likely stand more of a chance for waiver than one of 30%

Yes that makes sense. I'm just curious if it's even happened. I have a 10% rating with PTSD and going to school for nursing so I just didn't know if being an officer in the military is even possible when I'm done with school. Thanks for your response

One of the Recruiters may have personal experience.
DODI 6130 covers medical standards, and lists PTSD as disqualifying, but a waiver may be possible.
According to CFR 38 Part IV, a 10% rating is assigned when: "Occupational and social impairment due to mild or transient symptoms which decrease work efficiency and ability to perform occupational tasks only during periods of significant stress, or; symptoms controlled by continuous medication.
IMHO, the biggest hurdle the negative impact on performance of occupational tasks.
