As we draw down to some of our smallest force sizes in history (I am looking at you Air Force) after our longest war in history, do you think that having as we rapidly shrink the number of veterans in the population to historic lows will have positive/negative/neutral/unknown effects on the US Military, the Veterans Community and the United States as a Nation?

TSgt Joshua Copeland I think the big issue we will have is having smaller and smaller numbers as part of the VFW, American Legion, etc. We are already shrinking in size. With those getting smaller our lobbying effects will shrink and soon we will have even smaller budget. I pray that something happens to reverse this, but only time will tell.
