If my DEROS ends a year before my ETS, would I be able to leave Hawaii a year early?

You will be placed on assignment no later than 6 months from your DEROS with a report date of 30 to 60 days following your DEROS. You will need 12 months from your report date on your contract in order to accept the assignment. You may have to extend or reenlist to meet that requirement. If you choose not to meet the SRR then you will sign a declination statement, your DEROS will be adjusted to 3 days prior to your ETS and you will ETS from Hawaii.
