How do I find an MOS that is over strength or under strength in my state?

I am in the guard, I do not have access to a government computer but would like to know what MOS's in my state are currently under strength? I have been pursuing a degree and would like to possibly seek a reclass to an MOS more in line with my studies.

Thanks, SSG, I wasn't sure if there was a site that would provide a list. Being in the guard, I guess it makes sense to talk to the retention NCO.

I see you tagged OHARNG. If you’re Guard it doesn’t go by MOS strength, it goes by unit strength. If you want to reclass you’ll have to talk to your retention NCO. If you’re transitioning from active to Guard, I’d contact a Guard recruiter in whatever state you’re shooting for.

I am currently in the OHARNG as a combat engineer, but I am working on my BCJ and would like to reclass to MP. Is it worth reacting out to an MP unit before talking with my retention NCO. I don't want to hide anything, I just don't want to waste anyones time if they have zero slots.

SSG (Join to see) it definitely may help. Sometimes contacting a unit directly will get you information that a recruiter or retention NCO may not have because they just look at a website that isn’t updated everyday instead of picking up the phone.

You could ask to see if there's some type of open vacancy report. My state publishes them once a month or so.
