I’m currently stationed overseas, I’m in a dual military. Am I authorized to get a BAH?

No, you would only receive BAH while OCONUS if your dependent stayed CONUS. Your dependent is military and will receive their own housing.

SFC (Join to see) I got one more question, I know it’s related to the first one but here it goes.. I’m going to Texas from here in Korea, and my spouse is at DC right now. Am I eligible for FSA because we can’t be together due to my PCS orders? Thank you.

You should have been receiving family separation 30days from the time you arrived in Korea. Once you are in Texas, you will receive BAH as well without dependent. You don’t receive it while you’re in Korea because you are OCONUS and are required to live in the barracks, however once you are stateside you are entitled to BAH, the Army did away with the Geographic bachelor so you are not authorized to live in the barracks. I posted a message about it on here a couple of weeks ago. I hope this helps.CPL (Join to see)

This should help you when you get to Texas.
