Is there a military instruction on proper wear of a medically prescribed knee brace by LLD brace? If so, what instruction?

I though- no regs, but my Ortho that wearing it over clothing defeated the purpose of the brace- cause clothing would cause it to slide around.

From your statement, I understand that the chain of command wants the sailor to wear his knee brace underneath his trousers. If the trousers would fit over the knee brace, that might be a viable option. However, it sounds like the chain of command is trying to pretend the sailor does not have a condition which prompted medical authority to order the wearing of the brace. Do they just want everyone to look alike?
