Has RP recently made changes to its settings?

I use Gmail for my email service. For as long as I have been on RP all emails and notifications from RP have come up in my Gmail Primary mail tab. About 2 days ago most of my RP mail started coming up on the Gmail Promotions mail tab. Frankly I've developed a habit of deleting most mail that comes in on the Promotions tab without even opening them. I've learned to check before deleting now, but has anyone else had this problem? Trying to figure out if this is a Gmail settings issue or something imbeded in RP messages issue.
